Hello TYFTH crew.
So some of you might already know by now, Substanced’s album ‘Futureform’ is finally being released 😀
It’s available on limited CD via the Stamina site right now and is a dual format product – pick up the CD and you’ll get the WAVs to download on the day of release. You can get all the info about the album here: http://bit.ly/FUTUREFORM
Clips are going up daily atm on Stamina’s Facebook page, Soundcloud and YouTube. I’ll be posting them here too, for any comments/feedback on the tracks 🙂
Here’s the first one! ‘Evanescent’:
March 14, 2018 at 4:22 am #3602March 22, 2018 at 1:03 am #3611Just five more days! I’m surprised at how many new tracks he ended up making for this.
March 27, 2018 at 12:30 am #3613I think it’s worked out a nice balance of fresh material and things people have been waiting for 🙂
March 27, 2018 at 12:33 am #3614So the album is officially out today. There’s been a few more clips added. They can be neatly viewed (in album order) via this YouTube playlist: http://bit.ly/FformYT
Pre-orders have already been shipped (and in some cases [UK] delivered). WAV downloads are now live for everyone who bought the CD. Just log into the site and go your user/downloads area.
I haven’t fully stock counted but I think there’s just under half left; there will be no represses, so if you want a CD please do pick one up sooner rather than later. Hope everyone has enjoyed the clips – all/any feedback on the album (or the label in general!) most welcomed.
Oh – there is also some limited edition Futureform merch up on the website now – Tees & hoodies – here: http://stamina-records.co.uk/product-category/merchandise/clothing/
March 30, 2018 at 11:55 pm #3618I can count on one hand the amount of freeform tracks I’ve been impressed by since In Praise of Shadows, so being able to add Submission and the Artificial Reality edit to those is really great for me. F.E.A.R is a very fun track too, and regardless of mixed feelings on the rest, the album works very well as a cohesive whole. I also like that the new tracks fit the “Futureform” theme especially well compared to what we heard on Gone and tracks that ended up being free.
I love the proactive nature of the label, especially with regard to physical merchandise. Over-the-top musical pickiness aside, I wouldn’t mind one of those tees if I had more to spare at the moment. I hope it keeps going as strong as it has been and will be sure to keep an eye out for whatever’s next.
