Thanks to BerN for letting me know about Technorch’s new album 内閣総理大臣賞 [Naikaku Souridaijin Shou]: HARDCORE TECHNO POP, which includes Mayakashi, a collab track with Betwixt & Between. There’s all sorts going on with the other tracks on the CD, with artists like Sharpnel and Remo-Con involved. Have a listen to the preview up above, and check out the tracklist on Technorch’s own blog post here.
Worth mentioning too that this is one of those rare things, a Japanese release that’s easily purchasable from abroad, via everything from Amazon to iTunes.
TCN is one of my favorite J-Core producers. He’s always producing quality stuff of various styles. Production wise, he’s easily on a level with B&B. It’s simply superb.
I guess one has to like the somewhat grotesque-ish feeling that his music offers. Some truly weird shit has to go on in his mind, but that’s just the charme of his music. 🙂
His new production is very tasty, imo. The more you listen to it, the better it gets. That’s very common for his productions.
I wish german amazon would also offer hard copies of his stuff, but yea, it’s already impressive that I can easily buy his digital tunes. Thumps up!
Sounds quality indeed. I just wish some of the tunes would be available in instrumental versions. 🙂
I can only hope that we will be seing more and more releases available in Europe. There are quite a few websites available that release electronic dance music digitaly.
Despite agreeing with Labraska on the vocals, I have to say this is an amazing album. My personal favs are:
DJ活発イキがイイ
Cross Glid
Mayakashi
End of Life
Final Nirvana
Me & Me
So, yessss, I absolutely love half of the album and there’s just two tracks I don’t like – the first two, precisely because of the vocals – so it’s without a doubt a must-buy.
I guess it’s totally natural as a non-japanese to have a few issues with these kind of vocals, because there are sometimes a few meanings, which a foreigner won’t understand. I already got used to those things and see it as a kind of trademark. In the end, it’s J-Core made for japanese, majorly. Of course, we’re also free to listen it, but probably more like a lesser audience. 🙂
Japanese do probably enjoy this kind of vocal insertion, because it’s their speech. They probably have similiar issues, when listening to Hardcore with dutch vocals, but it’s just as it is. 😉
