These are fragments from my most recent efforts at NRG, pretty obviously inspired by the Japanese and Finnish crowds. There was one track from last year that especially inspired me (shouldn’t be hard to guess), but I think all the binge-listening of other producers ended up showing too. I wasn’t sure how public I’d go with them before overlooking them up some more, but my will to produce is fairly used up right now; I recently completed a large-scale non-freeform project, the urges that strike upon sketching out something on FL aren’t as insatiable as a few months ago, and my expected source for technical advice mysteriously disappeared (unless he ends up posting here), so what better place and time to share them than here and now?
Any advice is definitely appreciated; I really do want to help fill the void left by various departures and haven’t been personally satisfied with most recent freeform/NRG releases. But the reason I originally decided to gopher it and start making music was because I couldn’t find enough stuff I liked, so as far as I’m concerned, the situation’s ideal.

So after all that, all I needed to do to get them to appear was post the links. I’ll remember that for next time. 😛 Hopefully they work for everyone else.
This place is very quiet, isn’t it? I was hoping everyone would have spotted this Sherkular Showcase by now, as you already know my thoughts. Time to do my bit with a post on the blog itself, perhaps…
It certainly is! I hear the Smiling Corpse chat is still rather active, so I’ve been hoping some of the regular users there might consider checking this place out. I was thinking about taking Yarai and Retribution down as I’ve made more changes to them since (ironically I started working on stuff again almost right after I sent that last e-mail…), but it looks like I have reason to leave these previews up for a bit longer.
I’m still at it! There are a whole bunch currently that I’ve been trying to decide whether or not to post, some of which will be full-length if I do, but for now I’ve settled on this one mainly for being a change of pace from nonstop aggression:

It really is my own fault that these are getting so little exposure as I’ve been doing zero advertising, which basically forces my true motive out into the open. Might have to do something about that if I really want to go the producer route…but I still am curious how many Romancer archives that post is buried behind. 😛
