I’m a bit late to Sweden’s Ultraform, but thanks to Proteus and Android Lime I’ve finally started checking out some tracks, and been really impressed. It’s not often I come across hard melodic tracks with a bit of darkness to them, and I really like I Feel, a nine-minute epic with real anthem quality and some brilliant breakdowns. It’s great to see that the track has just been released (alongside Chase Me) on Fool’s Forest, a very high quality free netlabel which also releases breakbeat, ambient and more experimental tunes.

Wow, I totally fell in love with this one! Apparently I`ve been spending too much time with my schoolbooks lately, I haven`t even heard about ultraform before.. And now I feel ashamed because of it 😮

If you haven’t heard any Ultraform tracks before I highly recommend that you check out his back catalogue. His style has changed a bit since the first tracks I heard back in 2006 when he released his Sense Your Mind album. Back then the productions had more of a german hardtrance feel to them, still quite unique though. Dark melodies and heavy beats packed together with 303 basslines.
If you enjoy the sound of I Feel in particular, you should definitely have a listen to his remix of Audiowarp’s New Generation that was released last year.
Actually, to be fair one might stretch it as far as calling it Swedish hardtrance since there are quite a few adaptors of at least the style of Ultraform’s earlier productions over here in Sweden. Mauguzun and Aex to name a couple.
I can agree with you Plasma, “I feel” is really very very great track – I totally fell in love with it when I first heard it somewhere last year. Good to see it finally got released (and for free!).
