  1. Wow, i’ve not heard a few of these tunes… Ones i’m looking to hear – Astraia, Crank Cleopatra and Unam Sanctum.

    Have they all been released?

Will have to wait til i get home from work and i’ll post my Top 10, as I can’t access my last.fm from here.

  2. Astraia was in Android Lime’s online radio mix with Alek SzΓ‘hala as guest.
Unam Sanctam is in HARDCORE TANO*C’s SpeedBall Z.
And I have never heard of Crank Cleopatra before; the title looks promising, though.

  3. Ok so i have Speedball Z xD. Not that i thought it was an amazing release, a bit poor tbh.

Now you mention it, i do recall Astraia. lol. Bit forgetful this month… NYE/Day destroyed my brain :/

Damn it! Because Kirstie (My missus) uses my PC for music too, my last.fm account is all full of Infected Mushroom, crazy psytrance and Goa. lol πŸ˜€

Crank Cleopatra is a bit similar to Freeform Mercury, but not really as dark…it definitely did the trick when I played it at December’s Romancer.

Thanks for the Unam Sanctam correction BerN, changed that now πŸ™‚ I love how it all kicks off after the breakdown…you’re right though, all the Pure Existence tracks are great too.

Chip, it’d be nice to hear your Top Ten if you can do it from (NYE-scrambled) memory?

  5. lolol πŸ˜€ Its almost 7am. Just got up for work. My brain is even less of a state to think xD. Will update you guys after 9 hours of work, about 10L of coffee and about 10 cigarettes. πŸ˜‰

  6. Great tunes you got there man. And that drum & bass track is pure awesomeness. Really nice using of those ufo-sighting samples.

That top 10 has tracks that I’ve never heard of, but atleast what comes to those Finnish tracks: pure gold. My favourite has to be Crank Cleopatra. πŸ™‚

  7. Ah, I thought it would have some Egyptian sounds in it. 😑

    By the way guys, can anyone tell me where can I find Fea’s Eclipse tune? It’s supposed to be a future classic, but I have never listened to it. D;

  8. BerN>

If it’s Egyptian sounds you’re after, Oli G – Jasmine (Helikaon vs Ephexis Camelrape Remix) from that Crush on Hardcore mix might be just the tune for you πŸ˜‰

    Can’t help with Eclipse though..

  9. Finally I get round to my top 10 for this month! Whoop! There’s quite a few older tunes, but they’re awesome. Hense the reason i’ve been playing them xD

    1. Nightforce – Sadness & Sorrow (E&C Rmx)

    2. Epyx & Cyrez vs Substanced – Expedition Bloodbath

    3. Amalgamation Station & Ephexis – With Full Spiral

    4. Epyx& Cyrez – Heroes For Sale (No matter how many times I hear this tune, it never gets old. Timeless!)

    5. Sam One – Mechanical (Alchemiist Rmx)

    6. Betwixt & Between – Dust to Dust (I’ve still not successfully mixed this tune…)

    7. Carbon Based – Ultimate Protection

    8. Pain On Creation – Thru 2 Secrets

    9. Twisted Freq – Hanuman Visits Lanka (E&C rmx)

    10. Aertenity – Linn
Now this isn’t freeform, its kinda trance/hard trance and i’ve been listening to it alot over the past month. It has a very very special place in my heart. You can download this tune for free from Aertenity @ http://aeternity.rainender.com/have-some-suck/ There’s some SERIOUSLY awesome piano work in this… I hope you enjoy it as much as i do πŸ˜€

Well thats it from me and my top ten. Most of them you’ll know and love yourselves. πŸ™‚
(Download Linn if you like Trance!!)

  10. Chip>

Some great oldies in that list! Linn is a good find too..I like my trance a bit more acidy, but the piano melodies are very nice πŸ™‚

    Skadi>

    Thanks, can’t believe I missed that πŸ™‚

  11. Plasmadancer> i’m not the hugest fan of trance myself, obviously I can appreciate the infulences of my style and the infulences of the styles I listen to.

Linn has some amazing writing in it, I love how it all fits together. Aetenity’s ‘MoaR’ piano writing skills are astounding… One of the best piano leads i’ve heard since Dust To Dust πŸ˜‰
