The latest installment of Hardcore Syndrome is on the way (already on sale at Comic Market, it’ll be available elsewhere from the 26th), and freeform fans will immediately notice the standout track – Betwixt & Between’s Tout est Bien (Sein zum Tode). I’d like to hear the full version of Teranoid’s Back on Fear, but the rest of the tunes (understandably) look like they’re aimed squarely at the J-Core crew, and probably won’t be finding their way into freeform setlists anytime soon.
Any chance Tout est Bien will be released digitally? Such a beautiful tune it would be realy sad if it didn’t see the play it deserves due to availability.
But I guess the aim might be just that. To keep the song “limited edition”.
Already listened to the CD a few times. Tout est Bien is by far the best tune, not to say it’s a masterpiece.
There are very few other good tracks at HS5, but it’s overall the worst HS, imo. Some of the artist have already done and could easily do better. I felt somewhat fooled after listening to HS5. xD
I’ve yet to listen to this one, but the quality has been decreasing drastically after they made Hardcore Syndrome into a series. Guess they’re getting the cash now.
Hardcore Syndrome 1 was so much better with Hase, Alabaster, umbrella etc. This one is only decent if you like the usual “J-core” thing, and for Betwixt & Between of course.
The teranoid track is only good after 2.25 in my opinion (basically the part with chorus and stuff).
Meh, I’m the only one who think this CD is great here ?
Pretty awesome Happy tracks, however I can agree, Hardcore part isn’t good as previous releases (a way too generic…) but it’s still okay.
Only like Tout est Bien. Love the part that starts at 1:30, it’s so mysterious~
Labraska
I don’t remember any other HS tunes appearing elsewhere, so I guess not, sadly.
HS1 was my favourite too, it had a really nice mix of happy and harder tunes. There aren’t any other labels here that could come out with that kind of release, so it’s a shame the series has changed direction since…
